Leadership Overview

The Guild structure is based on a “no-dictatorship” policy and the leadership is handled by a group of long standing members who support the Guild ethos, these are the “Emperor” and “Lords”.

Ranks Explained:

Overview
The names of the guild ranks have been chosen to provide a quick visual reference to the hierarchal structure as well as fun break away from the typical naming convention.  They are also set to imply a level of responsibility and role you will be expected to play within the guild.  Hopefully this will add to the overall gaming experience, emersion and fun.

Please remember that everyone regardless of Rank, is still a player ultimately interested in playing the game and having fun.  Whilst the duties and responsibilities are intended to make the operations of the Guild run smoothly they shouldn’t be a cause for stress or ruin their enjoyment of the game.

The Emperor
Contrary to the connotation of the title, The Emperor’s role will be more behind the scenes ensuring that the guild policies and procedures are maintained and followed.

The Emperor provides the core infrastructure and framework needed to maintain a stable guild, ensuring that the guild is correctly governed and that the Lords are given the guidance and support needed to carry out their duties.  It is the responsibility of the Emperor to keep the guild documents up to date and adjudicate any problems which cannot be resolved though the Lords intervention.

The Lord
The Lords have been selected based on their abilities and suitability to ensure they can provide impartial advice and make decisions without bias whilst maintaining the guilds best interest and driving focus.
Lords will be responsible for researching and providing instance and raid strategies and tactics.

The Oracle
The role of the Oracle is as you might expect, the Oracle is knowledgeable and will freely distribute information and advice for those seeking the Oracle's wisdom.  They will be expected to research various aspects of the game, such as class builds for specific roles whether PvE or PvP, however advice on when to respec and for what role will be determined by the Emperor, Lords and character involved to ensure that role balance is maintained within the Guild.  The Guild doesn’t promote the concept of forced respec.
(At the moment this rank is only held by 1 character, this may change in time as may the title.)

The Guardian
Defenders of the guild, whilst not specifically a PvP role should a member send out a distress call from being Ganked, whilst anyone can answer the call and assist, Guardians will be assigned the task and assist on mass.  Show the Horde the strength of ProEssence and what it means to be a member (it’s only for a bit of fun).  However should this take place Fraps or other method of recording the event is highly recommended.
(The title and responsibility of the rank is for a bit of fun and not an obligation, although it would be fun to amass a large ProEssence army every time a Guild member gets into trouble, sometimes it may not be practical or viable – Players at this rank will still have entitlements to all other Guild activities)

The Sentinel
Aimed at the PvP’er whether your interest is Arena, Battleground or just a bit of healthy Horde hunting this will be your Rank
(The title and responsibility is for a bit of fun – Players at this rank will still have entitlements to all other Guild activities)

The Consular
Players at this rank will be the team leaders for the Marauders, they will be responsible for ensuring instances are run fairly, However this role may be filled by any of the Core members.  As the Guild numbers grow the original Core group will not be able to be in every instance and therefore the Core group responsibilities will expand to include the Consular to meet these needs.
(Players at this rank will still have entitlements to all other Guild activities)

The Marauder
Marauders are aimed at the PvE players, the idea being that when the Guild numbers are high enough a team can be created which will have a regularly scheduled runs during the week for instances with raids set for weekends.

As these runs will take place regularly the Marauders will be able to provide a good foundation in heroic instances for Guild members who have not been able to progress as fast as others, this will ensure that a Heroic can be complete successfully whilst giving other Guild members the chance to experience endgame instances.

As the numbers increase the Marauders will create more teams (of 5 players), with a Consular assigned to each team. This will create more opportunities for other members to experience the fun of Warcraft at level 80.
(Players at this rank will still have entitlements to all other Guild activities)

The Acolyte
This is the final rank for new players before being fully accepted as a Guild member, we feel there is no sense making members jump through multiple rank hoops to prove themselves to the Guild, whilst moving up the 3 “New Member” ranks might be slower than you are used to, hopefully by the time you reach this rank you will be have
Devoted follower of the guild philosophy

The Apprentice
New members of the Guild will be promoted to Apprentice as their interaction and contribution to the Guild increases (Contribution doesn’t imply trade goods or financial).  As new members progress and build a bond with the Guild and it’s members they will be taken on board with additional responsibilities being opened up to them and further teachings of the “Guild philosophy”

The Prophet
All new members start out as prophets, part of the responsibility of a prophet is to tell tales of our deeds to others, basically keep an eye out for other players that have a good character with a free and easy approach to the game.  Unfortunately due to the nature of Warcraft, Prophets have very limit access to Guild resources such as Guild professions and the bank.

The reasoning is quite straight forward, the Guild and its long standing members have invested lots of time and effort building up the Guild and its resources.  Until we can see that a new member is prepared to invest themselves into the Guild and contribute to reaching the common goal whilst following on the Guild philosophy, we just can’t risk opening up the Guild resources to a potential member that will take everything they can get their hands on and then leave.  This just wouldn’t be fair to the members who have been contributing for the common good of the Guild.
